SSSTS course price: what UK training providers publish

An SSSTS course costs £195 to £240 per delegate across the six UK training providers that print a price on their own page, a median of £199.50, read on 28 October 2026. The one-day refresher is cheaper: Smas Worksafe publishes £169 excluding VAT.

What moves the price
- Online or classroom
- Skills Training Group prints both: £199 + VAT for its live online class and £279 in a classroom.
- First course or refresher
- The refresher is one day. Smas Worksafe prints £235 for a first SSSTS and £169 for the refresher.
- Sale prices
- Knight Learning shows £199 against an original £299, so a price you see today may not hold.
- VAT
- Some providers quote excluding VAT, so a £199 + VAT course costs £238.80 to a buyer who cannot reclaim it.

What to ask before you book
- Is it the CITB Site Safety Plus SSSTS, and is the certificate included?
- Is it a live online class or a classroom, and over which two days?
- Is the price per delegate, and does it include VAT?
- For a group, can the course run at your own premises?
